For this project, I am going to submit each of the Biblical seals of revelation to Deep Dream AI. I will post 25 iterations of each of the seven seals mentioned in the book of Revelation.
The first seal:
Revelation 6:1-2 "I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest."
To recap and evaluate:
"I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest."
-The storm was a fairly consistent feature. This is no doubt the result of reference to "a voice like thunder."
-Only the 25th attempt featured a "rider" actually riding the horse.
-The reference in the first sentence to a lamb along the with the reference to the white horse seems to have confused the algorithm a bit. It appears in the images that the AI used a horse, or a lamb, or mixed the two creature's features together.
-The crown was consistently present.
-I do not believe a bow was represented in any of the images. However, I expected the AI to take it literally, and perhaps it did. Many of the images feature archways.
Modern interpretation of the verse:
The meaning is by no means agreed upon, but there are some more prevalent theories that are based on the language, time period, and context that warrant consideration. The bow, per many discussions I have heard, would most likely represent a covenant and not the weapon. The rider on the white horse that comes when the first seal is opened is believed to represent the antichrist. The bow would represent the false covenant with Israel that will be broken halfway through the seven years. The crown would represent the power and authority given to the rider, and the conqueror bent on conquest reference would be rather literal. I could go into detail on the reasoning, but people much smarter and well educated than me are a better source. I would only be regurgitating their thoughts without much to add.
An interesting run. Next we shall see what comes out for the Second Seal of Revelation.
